The Symptom Burden Graph

There are many tools I use to investigate the root cause of your symptoms.  As an NTP, I use the Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ) and the Symptom Burden Graph to assess total symptom load, identify areas of priority, and track progress. This is an online questionnaire the client fills out with their current symptoms to establish a baseline.  What is most important, the graph helps connect symptoms that may otherwise appear to be disconnected.**

The amino acid therapy assessment

For individuals suffering from OCD, obsessive thoughts, insomnia, addictions, anxiety, depression, ADD, ADHD, lack of energy, low blood sugar, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain, amino acid therapy can be a first step to healing.  While gut, thyroid, and adrenal health are often the root cause of these issues, often times amino acid therapy can jump-start the healing process by restoring crucial neurotransmitters.  While we work on balancing neurotransmittters, we will also address diet, gut, thyroid, and adrenal health to repair any underlying issues that may have been a factor in creating these symptoms in the first place.

The 3-day Food Journal

To get a full picture of a client's current eating habits, I have clients fill out a 3-day food journal. By analyzing their food and beverage intake over the course of three "typical" days, I am able to give personalized recommendations that fit within their lifestyle.  I then educate and empower the client to make substitutions that will help the client meet their goals.

The functional evaluation

For local and in-person clients, the Functional Evaluation is an additional tool that helps me find areas of weakness within the body.  The Functional Evaluation is a process that allows Nutritional Therapy Practitioners to identify an organ system in stress.  This is a hands-on evaluation where the client will rate the tenderness of a given point on the body on a scale of 1-10.  This process allows the practitioner to connect directly with the body’s innate response to identify nutritional deficiencies.  The Functional Evaluation gives Nutritional Therapists the ability to communicate directly with our clients’ bodies to create a personalized approach to their health using supplements and foods.*

The sciencey stuff...

After the functional evaluation is complete and the tenderness ratings are determined, Nutritional Therapy Practitioners use Lingual-Neuro Testing (LNT) to tap into the innate intelligence of the body and determine which nutritional supplements are the best choice.  After placing a supplement on the tongue, the body will then tell the brain if the supplement is useful or not.  The body will give direct feedback within 15 seconds via a change in the tenderness rating to show the practitioner that the nutrient is needed. Through this process, the Nutritional Therapy Practitioner can then tailor a supplement schedule to fit the client's individual needs which accelerates healing time.*
